Honoring Nancy (and others who joined with her)
Our clan
thrives here today,
sings and dances in wind,
welcomes sunlight,
bathes in rain,
relishes water and soil,
breathes fresh air,
shares, nurtures, protects
because
the one with strength,
with wisdom,
stood
between us and machines,
and bravely said
you shall not harm
our friends,
these ancients,
these beautiful
trees.
